Generally, an opaque film will give better results as it tends to have more ink receptive coating, but there are some exceptions. A lot of films have loose powder coats that cause uneven prints and some areas just refuse to absorb. Handling this film is difficult, powder is constantly being thrown off, and fingertips leave fingerprints on the film.
Some films start out perfect, but deform and blister during curing. In particular, DTF films of this type appear to have lower melting temperatures than DTF powders.
Sure, some films did great throughout testing, but when transferring prints to clothing, they stuck to T-shirts so much that they almost created their own new thick and glossy heat transfer printing technique.
